Since then a number of agreements have been concluded and bilateral programs have been initiated and implemented. The following gives a short overview of achieved and ongoing activities:<\/p>\n<p><em>1992<\/em>\u00a0<strong>\u2018Co-ordinated Aeronautical Research\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0General framework agreement with a serie of\u00a0Technical Annexes in the domains of<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cRotorcraft Research\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cTest Methods\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cLarge Transport Airplanes\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cHigh Speed Airbreathing Prop.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cOptics and Optical Systems\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>1997<\/em>\u00a0agreement on \u2018Personnel Exchange\u2019<\/p>\n<p><em>1998<\/em>\u00a0\u2018DLR-ONERA partnership in Rotorcraft Research\u2019<\/p>\n<p><em>2001<\/em>\u00a0\u2018Research and Technology General Partnership Agreement\u2018 (Eurocopter, DLR, ONERA)<\/p>\n<p><em>2001<\/em>\u00a0\u2018DLR-ONERA partnership in Transport Aircraft Research\u2019<\/p>\n<p><em>2005<\/em>\u00a0\u2018DLR-ONERA- Airbus Research and Technology Framework agreement\u2019<\/p>\n<p><em>2006<\/em>\u00a0\u2018DLR-ONERA partnership in Measurement and Observation Techniques for Aerospace Research\u2019<\/p>\n<p><em>2006<\/em>\u00a0\u2018European Aeroelasticity Key Laboratory EURAKEL, Joint Preliminary Agreement\u2019 (DLR, ONERA)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Since 1977 regular joint Board meetings<\/li>\n<li>30 years of continuous relations between engineers \/ scientists in various contexts (Ariane 5, Herm\u00e8s, Airbus and Eurocopter original components\u2026) and numerous non-formalised co-operations<\/li>\n<li>A joint scientific journal: \u2018Aerospace Science and Technology\u2019 (AST), base of a future European aerospace journal<\/li>\n<li>A joint annual ONERA-DLR colloquium (ODAS) since 1999<\/li>\n<li>A joint ONERA-DLR stand at Le Bourget 2001\/2003 and at ILA-2002 \/ 2004<\/li>\n<li>The mutual exchange of information initiated in 1998 and the joint management of DLR and ONERA respective relations with third parties each time it is possible (eg : JAXA, CAE)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NLR DLR bi-lateral cooperation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cooperation between both establishments has been initiated in 1973 through regular joint Board meetings.<\/p>\n<p>Since 1974 implementation of the German Dutch Windtunnel with the building of a DNW wind tunnel first, the Large Low speed Facility, LLF, which is in operation since 1980<\/p>\n<p>Since 1998 a stepwise integration of the operation of all DLR and NLR wind tunnels under the responsibility of the DNW has been initiated with the creation of\u00a03 business units under a common management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Business unit G\u00f6ttingen und K\u00f6ln, GUK, since 2000 the wind tunnels of DLR K\u00f6ln, the Kryo Kanal K\u00f6ln, KKK, and the wind tunnels of DLR G\u00f6ttingen, Hochdruckwindkanal, HDG, Kryo Rohrwindkanal, KRG, the Rohrwindkanal, RWG, and the Transsonischer Windkanal, RWG are managed through DNW<\/li>\n<li>Business unit Noordost Polder, NOP, since 2000 the wind tunnels in Marknesse, the Large Low speed Facility, LLF, the Low Speed Tunnel, LST, and the Engine Calibration Facility, ECF, and the DLR Braunschweig wind tunnel, Low speed wind Tunnel, NWB, are managed under the DNW<\/li>\n<li>Business unit Amsterdam, ASD, since 2000 the High Speed Tunnel, HST, and the Super Sonic Tunnel, SST, of the NLR in Amsterdam are managed through the DNW<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>1994<\/em>\u00a0NLR DLR Cooperation agreement establishing a.o. a NLR DLR program committee and initiating common research projects (e.g. Aerodynamics and structures)<\/p>\n<p><em>Since 2000<\/em>\u00a0initiation of harmonisation of ATM activities between both establishments<\/p>\n<p><em>2005<\/em>\u00a0establishment of the DLR NLR strategic alliance in ATM research, AT \u2013 One<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trilateral cooperation within EREA and with industry<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>2000<\/em>\u00a0\u2018Wind Tunnel Co-operation Agreement \u2018 (ONERA, DLR, NLR)<\/p>\n<p><em>2000<\/em>\u00a0\u2018Memorandum of Understanding on Common research to be performed on liquid rocket propulsion\u2019 (CNES, DLR and ONERA)<\/p>\n<p><em>2001<\/em>\u00a0\u2018Co-operation agreement on the design and manufacturing of cryogenic models\u2019 (ONERA, DLR, NLR)<\/p>\n<p><em>2006<\/em>\u00a0\u2018Aero Testing Alliance EEIG (ATA)\u2019 (ONERA, DNW)[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=&#8221;no-extra-padding&#8221;
