1- Laser flash diffusivimeter (Nd:YAG and CO2) – Diffusivity between 10(-7) and 10(-3) m²/s – Temperature up to 2200°C depending – Through-thickness and in-plane configurations – Inert gas atmosphere. Example: thermal barriers for turbine blades
2- Conductivity between 0.03 and 1.5 W/m.K – Temperature up to 2000°C – Pressure from primary vacuum to 1 bar (argon). Example: insulating fibrous blankets
3- Infrared transmission – Wavelength 0.4 to 15 µm – Temperature up to 1000°C. Example: transparent ceramics
4- Differential Thermal Analyser (DTA) and Thermogravimetric analyser (TGA) – Temperature up to 1600°C – Max heating rate 30°C/min – Primary vacuum, air flow, inert gas or reactive gas atmospheres
5- Thermomechanical analyser (TMA) SETARAM-Setsys – Temperature up to 1700°C – Heating rate 0.01 to 100°C/min – Inert gas. Examples: sintering rate of ceramic powders, coefficient for thermal expansion of materials
6- Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) – Temperature from -125°C to 725°C – Heating rate from 0.01 to 200°C/min – Inert gas. Example: measurement of phase transition temperatures
