For almost three decades, the European Aeronautics Days (Aerodays) have been the leading event in aviation research and innovation, mirroring the priorities and strategies set within the European Union research Framework Programmes. The eighth Aerodays builds on the achievements of Horizon 2020, the biggest EU research and innovation programme to date, and is based on a new approach of integrating two events organised as TandemAEROdays19.20, in Romania in 2019 and Germany in 2020.
This year, the #AeroDays2020 will be taking place in a format adapted to the current COVID-19 situation with an on-site-program for speakers and guests on the stage of the Meistersaal in Berlin along with an online-service via a streaming platform for virtual participants.
United under the same motto: “AVIATION FOR THE FUTURE – CHANGE IS NOW!” – Berlin Aviation Summit and the FORUM – form the core parts of #AeroDays2020 in Germany. For both #AeroDays2020 events, the high-level opening event, Berlin Aviation Summit (#BAS2020) on 24th of November as well as the open innovation and technology platform #AeroDays2020 FORUM on 25th /26th of November 2020, hybrid event platforms will be set up.
At Berlin Aviation Summit on the 24th of November, key players from all relevant stakeholders will share and discuss technology perspectives, investment strategies, and policies. The panel discussions at the innovation platform #AeroDays2020 FORUM will dive into some more level of detail, addressing a wider audience, and invite all participants to a dialogue. The evening reception of the German EU-Council Presidency hosted by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy will complete the #Aerodays2020 in Berlin.
On the virtual event platforms, participants will be offered an inspiring program with high-level keynote addresses, panel discussions and interview situations, deep-diving market inputs, networking opportunities, and extensive exhibition space. Guests will be invited to ask questions, participate in surveys and get in touch via on-line meetings.
The Association of European Research Establishments in Aeronautics – EREA is directly involved in the organization of the #AeroDays 2020 through two of its members, DLR and INCAS, but also will attend the event with speakers in Panel sessions: Michel Peters, EREA Chairman (NLR), Catalin Nae – EREA Vice-Chairman (INCAS), Rolf Henke – EREA Board member (DLR) and Pawel Stężycki – EREA Board member (ILOT).
On the 25th of November, just before the first panel of the #AeroDays2020, from 09:00 – 11:00, EREA will present its Vision of the Future of Aviation in a Workshop that can be attended both on-site and virtual.
We are very glad to announce that registration to the #AeroDays2020 are open!
