Recently, the AIT invited to the EREA Young Researchers Event. On 11th and 12th October 2022, 30 young scientists from eleven different research institutes from all over Europe visited the AIT Headquarters in Vienna. Under the title “Preparing successful Horizon Europe proposals”, the participants benefited from an online training session by Seán McCarthy (Hyperion) on the first day, who provided tips and tricks for the perfect proposal. On the second day, they learned from Michele De Gennaro (AIT) what is important when evaluating an EU proposal and were then able to try their hand at evaluating a real project as evaluators.
The programme was completed by laboratory tours at the AIT (including Battery Lab and Drive Lab) and a visit to the RTA Climate-Wind-Channel. A social dinner was also not to be missed to make contacts and network with other organisations.
